Ipomoea indica heeft bloemen die gedurende de dag verkleuren van diepblauw naar donkerpaars. Ze groeit het best in volle zon.
I found these breathtaking-blue flowers near Nietzsche’s Terrace, Nice.
Convolvulaceae (Bindweed family) = dagwinde
(”Morning Glory”: slechts één dag open)
Georgia O’Keeffe explained in a 1946 interview in the New York Post why she painted colossal flowers:
” When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it,” she said, cupping her hand and holding it close to her face, “it’s your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else. Most people in the city rush around so, they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see it whether they want to or not.”
